homework for April 11

Hi. We had an outdoor DPA session today. All frisbee donations would be welcome :D
I'd like to start practicing so that we get Ultimate Frisbee underway again when the weather is good.

In Math we had a math quiz. Some students did not study?
No Math homework tonight.

In Geography, I handed out the outline of the travel brochure as well as an example of a brochure (with all required elements).
Note: I provided an example of a detailed itenerary from http://www.gapadventures.com/tour/PID
note: physical and cultural ratings (need to be known)

Homework: fill out idea web on your country and city.
I will collect data tomorrow.
I will also hand out (and post) a checklist of required items.
The final brochure is to be completed by April 25, 2007.
Note: I am missing a few students' readings on : rivers, oceans, desserts and pollution.

In L.A. we watched a special report that I taped last week on Global Warming and human adaptation: Rosetta and Alexandria, Egypt, Israel's grey water recycling for irrigation and Australia's water . The report was hosted by Peter Mansbridge and provided excellent examples of human-environment interaction (see one of five theme of Geographic inquiry.)

Homework: complete and hand in Thursday Lessons 19&20 in spelling.
We will take up during Staff Advisory tomorrow.
