homework for weekend Nov. 5

Grade 8 Math - work on creating your own path/park using a minimum three arcs, three diagonals and a total perimeter of 110m

Provide mathematical proof.

Grade 7 Math - review two dimension and three dimensional shapes...rectangular prisms, triangular prisms surface area
review 2D of 3D shapes, start Geocity assignment next week

Create a 1 - 2 minute speech

Grade 8 - P.S.A. (public service announcement)

-narration, question and answer dialogue, slice of life etc.

T.V. and radio PSAs

Procedure: Pick a topic / issue.
Give some information about it/ or what you want someone to know about.
Give contact information about where to find more information.

15 to 30 seconds
Like a commercial but instead of selling you a product or service (for profit), you are “selling an action or thought”.

Instructions: Use this form to outline your PSA. 1. Scenario: Characters act out the problem. Write script for actions (video and audio) and dialogue.2. Goal: These words flash across the screen. (video)3. Reasons: Voiceover explains the problem while image shows problem. (In an audio PSA you tell / describe the problem.)4. Facts: Voiceover discusses the facts while image shows facts. (Audio PSA tells the facts clearly.)5. For More Information: Show / tell organization phone or website (make one upor use existing).remember to write in your script DOT COM (for a website not just .com)

Create a collage (headlines, images) accompanying speech of why we should Remember (veterans, peacekeepers, etc.) during Remembrance Day.
