Language - Collection of all Kid Nation assignments to date. Some students have typed their answers and still need to share with me. Others are still completing written work. 
Book study #1 due Friday. Some students are still not bringing books to class so they can work on study at school.

Science - We had a double period today. Students had a chance to check out a "bridges" lab - examine the strength of different shapes, structures and bridge types. One reading with accompanying questions was to be completed in class today. We will finish the other reading tomorrow. Go to the Grade 5 Science classroom to see the links. 

Social studies - We spoke about Democracy and a bit of its Greek origins. Students had time to complete their T and F page for ideas about government and elections in class as well.

Art - students are still finishing off name and year. (Some other students still need to complete their Canada 150 assignment.)
