We had a few challenges today in class. We're tying to come up with some solid ideas for the Cooperation character assembly which will be at the end of the month.
The class voted on slideshow and speech, standup comedy and singing a silly song about cooperation. It was very difficult for the class to allow for everyone to have a voice in a respectful way. We are also challenged by differentiating between a fidget toy, which support focus and attention and toys, which distract the user and others.
We also went over the Bowmore rights and responsibilities listed in our school's agenda.
If you are a parent/guardian reading this post, it would be great to go over this again with your child to ensure that he/she is very clear about what a maximum learning potential and environment entail.
Math - continue on fraction package
Language - students are in groups for a short Reader's Theatre script. Tomorrow they will write a follow-up scene together in groups. It will be interesting to hear how each group approaches the task.
S.S. - Heritage Fair continue working on it.
Science - grade 5s you will have time to complete the chemical vs. physical change worksheet Wednesday.
