Fri. April 7

We finished off the week with our first Friday clean-up of our lockers and bins. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Did you read about the newest Canadian ten dollar bill? It contains some "3D-like" images. Read the CBC commemorative bill article here.

Language - I've sent a reminder to a few students to please hand in their jot notes assignment from the Daniel Bernouilli reading.

Math - We started different models of representing fractions last week. If you check http://www.explorelearning.com you can practice area models and set models as well as equivalent fractions.

S.S. - We're deep into Heritage Fair. I've been able to conference with most students this week. The deadlines are meant to keep you on track so that you are working on the project a little bit at a time (instead of two to three days before non-stop). Please remember to ask me for help or clarification when you need it.

April 21 (Heritage Fair good copy should be complete.)
April 26 ( Bowmore Heritage Fair presentations)

Another key date is next Wednesday, April 12 which is \Pink Day. Please wear pink.

Science - grade 5s have completed presenting. It looks like many had fun. We have a little bit more work to do exploring Properties of and changes in Matter.

Art - deadline extended to Thursday, April 13.

A final reminder there is no school this upcoming Friday and following Monday, April 17.
