Today we discussed and reflected about our rights and responsibilities. We also did a video review about "What does it mean to be a Canadian citizen?" by watching a video "Glorious and Free."
I mentioned to the students that this video could be something similar they could put together as once of their hotspots for the Art project (they can link to a google slideshow of their own creation and use music with attribution).
Most students completed the video planner in class as we watched the video a couple of times. I am posting the video planner as well as a copy of the Canada Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which we read and discussed last week on the Google Classroom as well.
L.A. - Reading response due Friday. Students are in groups to create a skit/PSA/commercial which would send the message to the audience about the difference between rights and responsibilities. (See Google Classroom for the success criteria.)
S.S. - Continue researching Heritage Fair, Inquiry Questions due tomorrow.
Science -Grade 5- Please bring in your presentation/slide show on a USB or have me save it to my desktop. The wifi is not consistent.
School trip: April 6
A reminder that we have a trip to the Hamilton Airplane Museum next Thursday.
Student are to be ready and organized by 8:25 a.m. in our class 201 so we can board the bus.
