I hope everyone had a great weekend. We are still adjusting to our transition of a new teacher. I am encouraging student use of both their agenda/planner and Google Classroom to stay on top of their deadlines and assignments.
Language Arts - Great morning start with Drama activities.
Math - We reviewed concepts learned around perimeter, area, surface area and volume.
Students are practicing applying their knowledge of concepts in word problems. They are also practicing showing their calculations and thinking to prove their answers.
Tomorrow: Math assessment
Social studies: We looked at the Heritage Fair timeline. I have uploaded a blank copy of the outline to the Google Classroom. However, every student has a paper copy in their S.S. duotang.
Updated deadline: Inquiry questions now due: Thursday, March 30 (instead of tomorrow).
We will go over what kind of questions make inquiry questions versus content questions tomorrow.
Grade 5 Science: We have updated the initial deadlines set before March break.
I shared an annoucement/reminder during agenda time and I posted an announcement in the Grade 5 Science Google classroom.
Our first experiment presenters did a detailed and informative presentation today. Next set of presenters are Wednesday.
