Pick a language you are not familiar with and determine the pattern.
Create a question to ask our class about a number based on the pattern.
eg. Show a few numbers that will be clues to help someone form a strategy to determine the pattern.

2. Go to the different languages on the web site and update your predictions of the What's the Script?
Be prepared to orally justify your answer.

Part 2
Go to the Base 10 blocks link at the following Virtual Manipulatives web site.
How many ways can you create the number 52 using base 10 blocks?
Record your answer on the chart paper provided.
Now choose another number and determine how many ways you can create the number using base 10 blocks.
43, 67, 25, 58 or your own.
After we look at the class answers, we will determine the pattern to predict the number of ways.
