
Reading responses 1 and 2 overdue (time at lunch or after school will be offered to catch up on writing assignments - by invitation)
Math- finish multiplication / division steps before we move on to the measurement unit
Some notes we took take about real-world application of Math were:
Math in Science
- graphing
- t-chart, to organize data
- measure mass grams (g) measure your body? kg
- cooking measure ingredients mL L (Litres) 1 teaspoon is 5 mL, 1 tablespoon is 15mL
- patterns
- angles, turns (robotics)
- be detailed, show your work eg. experiments
- money (purchase equipment etc.)
We also took notes about the steps to an experiment
(also known as characteristics of an experiment (procedural writing)
materials (what you need)
instructions / procedure / method (steps you need to do)
hypothesis / estimation(best guess, what you think might happen)
observations (watch what happens)
record results (actual measurements, changes, also part of observations)
discussion (look at results of what happened)
conclusions / make a theory or rule based on what you did, observed and happened

Drama - spoke about use of voice, Started 8-0, 8-1 groups for "The Haunted Castle" Reader's Theatre. 8-2 forms group tomorrow.
