Acrostic assignment is as follows:

At the end of this activity, students will:
· explore using Microsoft Word and its drawing tools
· use proper naming of files and save in two different places on the network (H: home and shared drives 0196 Student folder)
· use the Design Process to ensure that he/she follows directions, makes use of space and spell checks a written assignment(Hint: to find the drawing tools go to View --> Toolbars ----> Drawing)
Task: Using Microsoft Word, create an acrostic poem using your name.Acrostic poem hint: The words used in your poem should be adjectives that describe you and be appropriate to the grade level 7.
Each word should start with the letter from your name.
Design brief: (design specifications)
Include the following· a title (you may use word art)· your first and last name· one graphic
You must fill the entire 8 x 11 “ page.You will be marked on spelling, word use, and design.

(It will be helpful for you to read over the ENTIRE assignment before starting on Step 1)
Step 1 Create a word document and answer the following questions in complete sentences:

1. How will I make sure that my word use and spelling is accurate?
2. How will I find appropriate words for every letter of your first and last name?
3. How can I make an acrostic poem about me eye-catching and interesting to look at?
4. How will I make sure that I completed all aspects of the assignment accurately and completely?
Part II Design Process - Create
Saving: Create a folder in your home H: drive labeled 7IT projects.
Your acrostic poem file should be saved using your initials and the word acrostic
e.g. Bart Simpson bsacrostic.doc – would be the documents name.
Save in shared drive as well.
There is a simple rubric. You will also do a peer assessment (mark your own peers).

This is your reflection. The first was your plan on how to complete the assignment. This reflection is for you to write what you actually did. If you changed your plans or strategy, please write about it.
