Super Swim meet is tomorrow!

Friday afternoon there's the grade 4/5 picnic and grade 6 dance.
Grade 6s were asked to give a list of songs to Mr. Butters for the dance. I've also asked students to give me a list of (clean) songs they might like to use to create a dance routine with next week.
We're also having a classroom celebration on Tuesday afternoon. So, we could listen to some music then. I've asked students to think about what they might like to bring to school on that afternoon.

Quick note: our snack program closes this Friday.

We started our great Canadian debate in room 201 today.

Students introduced each novel. Then we debated the theme/author's message in each book.
It was so competitive that there needs to be a tie-breaker between Camp X and Saving Houdini on Thursday along with the other topics (order is in the parentheses, based on a number cube roll).

All end of year work is due this includes:
Grade 5 Science Forces acting upon structures. Some students have completed but not yet submitted their work to me - on paper, in notebook, or as an electronic document, whichever format they choose.

Persuasive paragraphs Book study 2: It is clear that everyone has ideas and is engaged in preparing for the debate. The individual assignment should be handed in on paper, in notebook, or as an electronic document.

Kid Nation episode 5. I am surprisingly still waiting for some student submissions for this media assignment that was assigned at the end of May.
We still are finishing episode 10 and have a final writing assignment to do (in class).
