- Share how you use math in your job and at home
- Ask your child how they used math today
Practise mental math using coins.
- Math is part of money and finances
- Costs are decimal numbers
- Help your child make connections with dollars and cents
Sports and math.
- It's soccer season, why not explore percentages from box scores
- share your favourite players - tennis, hockey, baseball or whatever sport and share the math:
- help your child understand batting averages, points per game, save percentages to share how math shows who are the best players and improvements
