- represent fractions using number lines, area models, and sets;
- understand what the numerator tells us, the denominator tells us, and that the fraction refers to a part of a whole unit;
- compare fractions conceptually using benchmarks (0, ½, 1), common denominators
- order fractions in a variety of ways (e.g., equivalent fractions, conversion to decimals, percents)
