Tomorrow starts a week of concentrated remembrance called Veterans' Week.
We remember people who faught for Canada's rights and freedoms. We remember those who try to bring peace to places in the world. We remember those who keep the peace and rights for others.
I was away today, however:
Reading: Today you were to read the Canada Remembers newspaper.
Pick one article and do a three Rs (retell, relate, reflect) in your notebook.
Reading: You practices reading your scary story (and got feedback on how you read your story). Practice reading your scary story again.
Writing: Begin writing/continue writing your own scary story.
Think of how to set up plot, characters, mood, tone, use language etc.
Math - We are finished with measurement units, but continue with the measurement (Perimeter, Area and Volume) of objects and will begin to sketch 3D shapes.
Math dictionaries should be complete.
Media- you should have bitstrips (2), power point (1), Halloween diamante,
Start thinking of the term empathy.
What does empathy mean? How do you show empathy? What do you feel when you are empathetic?
