Earth day bake sale and homework

After the Easter weekend you SHOULD have read your book.
Now you have exactly seven days and six nights to complete your Book in a Box project.

Proposed schedule:

Tues. April 14 – find your 10 interesting/new words, write page number and the sentence it is used in your book
Go to the websites suggested to complete your crossword or word search.
Wed. April 15- Point of view / Book review. Fill out the planner (part 2 of assignment to help you write four (4) paragraphs about your novel.
Paragraph one – plot without giving away the ending.
Paragraph two – Style of writing (First or third person? Who would you recommend this book to (audience and age group)?
Paragraph three - Whose point of view? Based on what you have read, would this story be more interesting from another character’s point of view?
Thurs. April 16- Look at the www.imdb.com web site. Design your movie poster (include actors and a director that you can imagine being in the movie version of your book.
Pick 5 songs (list them: name of song and artist) that would make a good soundtrack for your movie.
Fri. April 17- Artifacts (5), Create a written description for each artifact, explaining how it is important to the story.
Sat. April 18 – Check that you have all of the elements (seven parts together in rough, edit and rewrite for Sunday).
Sun. April 19 – Good copy poster, soundtrack, book review/point of view spell check and edited.
Make sure you have the title of your book, the author and your name on a sheet of paper.
Mon. April 20 – Put the box all together. It is due at the end of the day.

Remember, bring your novel EVERY DAY!

You can paint, ask for plastercine, create, draw, use the computer for research and editing every day during Language/English class. Always ask for clarification or help to make sure you are on the right track!!
