Math - We continue to work on measurement - conversion of units as well as surface area and volume (of 3d cubes and rectangular prisms).
We have a test on Friday.
Language Arts:
Media - We are creating soundtracks to Public Service Announcements on Bowmore's Litterless lunch campaign.
We read tdsb documents at school and here is some more information (basic):
What does a waste‐free lunch look like?

Sandwiches and other nutritious food in reusable containers
•
Whole fruits with no packaging
•
Drinks in containers that can be reused, such as a thermos or a water bottle
•
Snacks purchased in bulk and brought in a reusable container
•
Cloth lunch bags and napkins
•
Reusable forks and spoons
What does it NOT look like?
•
Individually packaged foods
•
Plastic baggies that are not reusable
•
Disposable forks or spoons
•
Straws
•
Paper Bags
You need to 1) write a script trying to promote litterless lunches.
2) write a soundtrack to include as background or part of the PSA.
3) record your voice using audacity. You can use the free program at school or at home (with family permission to download the softward at: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/)
4) Save and compile the audio using windows moviemaker (at school). If you want you can add images to make a video.
* I will show you how to save and burn the appropriate format.

Some students are still finishing and printing out their reading response journals from last week "China's dinosaur find."
Read 20 minutes each night.
Finish all three historical explorer maps: Alexander Mackensie, Simon Fraser and David Thompson that goes with our read aloud novel Perilous Passage.
