ingredients:-
1 litre(4 cups) all-purpose flour
25ml(2tbsp) baking powder
5ml(1tbsp)sugar
2ml(1/2tbsp) butter
500ml(2 cups) water or milk
procedure:
step1: Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl
step2: Melt the fat and add the water or milk in a medium cast iron frying pan, with the help of an adult
step3: Pour the milk or water mix into the flour mix
step4: Stir thoroughly with a fork
step5: Add more water if the dough is too dry
step6: Turn out the dough out onto a floured surface on the kitchen counter
step7: Knead it for at least 3 minutes until it feels firm and the fat is evenly blended
step8: Transfer the dough to the frying pan and pat it out to about 2cm(3/4")thickness.
step9: Stab it all over with a fork.
step10: Bake the bannock at 180 degrees Celsius(350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 45 minutes-1 hour, until its golden brown with the help of an adult.
Serve it hot with strawberry jam or butter and eat it warm!!
