L.A. - Read 20 minutes EVERY night. Reading log (signed) due Monday.
History - complete Jacques Cartier and Samuel Champlain with detail and complete sentences.
D/T - research bridges, redo "cover page"

In your group start creating a script for your story.
Start with dialogue and then add sound effects and direction.

Creating a script...
A play is one genre of writing.

For your story you need to write out what each character in the radio play will say.
This is called DIALOGUE.

Narrator:
Boy:
Girl:

Also in a script you need sound effects and stage directions (what is not directly said).
When you write a radio screenplay write what an audience will HEAR.

Write the script so that other groups would be able to reproduce a similar radio play over and over again because you have detailed instructions (like a recipe).
Eg. 2
Stage directions:
(Narrator’s voice is slow and clear.)
(The boy’s voice is shaky; he sounds out of breathe like he has been running.)
(The girl’s voice is happy. She sounds like she has a big smile on her face.)

Eg.
SFX: The sound of an owl is heard in the distance.
SFX: Shuffling of feet
SFX: A door creaks open slowly.

Eg all together

Narrator: One day in a little town that could be similar to your neighbourhood. Bob and Sena met after school.
Boy: How are you today? (A door slams.)
Girl: What was that? (She says her last word really fast as though she’s scared.)
