The five themes of Geographical Inquiry are: place, region, movement, environment
and interaction.

Using the Physical Geography text book and other resources, you will investigate Sierra Leone and Canada using the five themes.

1.Locate Sierra Leone on a map of Africa. Label it.
Describe its relative location in the continent.


2.Give the country statistics such as flag, date of “creation” political leader/type of government, land area and other general information.

7.Describe the cultural characteristics of the country? What is the main religion(s), language(s) and/or cultural regions like (urban (cities) versus rural (country).

8. How does the climate interact with how the people of Sierra Leone live?
(eg. Do humans have to adapt their way of life to live in the climate, natural disaster zones?)

9. Does the land and/or water system put limits on human activity (eg. Water barriers, hazardous building sites?)
