New ways to look at our world

Here is a video from Hans Rosling, a public health researcher.
http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/912 (He explains population growth using IKEA boxes.)

He also developed the graphing program that we examined today named gapminder world.

Try changing the y and x axes. See what categories interest you. Gapminder helps you visualize living data throughout the years. And you can examine and compare specific countries as well.

Another web site is worldmapper.org. With world mapper, instead of geographical area, you can map the world according to other categories.

Try both of these out!
