Reading log (every night, every night please minimum of 20 minutes and log your entry.)
CASI reading assessment takes place tomorrow.
Please have a good night sleep and make sure you eat a good breakfast so you can be fresh for the assessment.
Postcard Exchange. The date for the initial five postcards was pushed up. We need to send the first five by tomorrow. A few students have taken their postcards home and will return them tomorrow. Oct. 15 is the deadline to send off the remaining 45 cards.
Math assessments continue.
Some students have already finished and are starting the review of numeration (multiplication and division). Next week we will continue to review numeration by learning rules of each of the times table/divisibility rules.
single digit multiplication,
two by two digit multiplication,
three by two digit multiplicaton,
single digit division
division with two digit divisor
(For now we will work with remainders but it is hoped that you will be able to divide using decimals and round off answers to the appropriate decimal places in the future.)
For practice with rounding click here for a game.
For on-line multiplication practice see here (try drills and test..this is not a problem solving site, just practice with numbers)
If you haven't seen it, this is a fun site that helps you practice all of your math strands.
It's funbrain's Mathbrain.
