homework Feb. 22

Math - We continue to work on Data Management and graphing.

African elephant student activity 1 (complete) - calculating mean
African elephant student activity 2 (complete) - doublebar graph
African elephant student activity 3 - due Monday - stem-and-leaf plot

L.A. - Read and reread group script.
Bring props and memorize lines (where appropriate).
Read 20 minutes every night


History/Geography - Infocards 1-4 were due Feb. 22

Any incomplete packages hand in Monday

Activity 4 questions: (due in paragraph form, with references Thursday, March 1)
1. Why is the elephant threatened with extinction?
2. What measure have been taken to preserve the African elephant population?
3. To what extent have these measure been effective?
4. Why do some people want a ban on the sale of ivory? Why do others oppose such a ban?
5. Do you think the African elephant will become extinct in your lifetime?
Support you argument with reasons.
